Kips Bay Decorator Show House Announces Landmark Location for 50th Anniversary

After months of eager anticipation, the Kips Bay Decorator Show House has announced the location of its 50th edition: a grand Greenwich Village townhouse at 20 West 12th Street. Set to open to the public on September 30, 2025, the historic 9,000-square-foot home offers the perfect backdrop for this milestone year, with soaring ceilings, original 1900s architectural details, seven fireplaces, and a lush private garden.

Since 1973, the Show House has raised over $30 million for the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, while showcasing the work of more than 800 top interior designers. This year’s setting, a Gold Coast mansion in one of Manhattan’s most iconic neighborhoods, promises to honor that legacy in style.

On my podcast, I had the pleasure of speaking with Nazira Handal of Kips Bay about the Show House’s incredible history and the impact this event continues to make both in the design world and in the lives of youth. You can listen to that episode here.
